Pepacton Arts Center presents The Queen's Chamber Trio in a concert of music by Beethoven and Downsville resident José Raúl Bernardo. Most performances of Beethoven's Trio in E-flat Major (Opus 1, #1) feature a piano as the keyboard instrument. The QCT has taken a new look at Beethoven's music with an instrument that he himself played as a young man---the harpsichord! Bernardo's music features gently jazzy Afro-Cuban rhythms and tunes. While admission is free, donations are gratefully accepted. This program is made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State agency and administered by the Roxbury Arts Group.
