Elaine Comparone brings her stand-up harpsichord to Adelphi University for a solo harpsichord performance with commentary.

Elaine Comparone plays solo harpsichord music by some of the greatest keyboard composers all time. From Hugh Aston's Hornepype  of 1425 to a suite of Cuban dance miniatures by living composer José Bernardo, Elaine plays and talks about her favorite composers.

These luminaries include Italy's great Girolamo Frescobaldi (Cento partite sopra passacagli and his variations on the aria La Monica); François Couperin (Les Baricades Mistèrieuses and Les Tic-Toc Choc); Jean-Philippe Rameau (Les Tourbillons and Les Cyclopes); Domenico Scarlatti (3 sonatas); Scott Joplin (The Entertainer) and Johann Sebastian Bach's Concerto in the Italian Style
