Presaging modern-day conflict in the Middle East, Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725) unearths seads of ancient Arab-Hebrew antipathy in his musical portrayal of a warrier's seduction and a widow's revenge.

Starring Julianne Baird, soprano as Judith with Marshall Coid as the Nurse and Philip Anderson, tenor, as the Assyrian general Holofernes. Members of the Queen's Chamber Band include violinist Robert Zubrycki, Lori Miller, Fritz Krakowski; Veronica Salas, viola; Peter Seidenberg, violoncello; Roger Wagner, double bass; Daniel Swenberg, theorbo; Elaine Comparone, harpsichord.

Tickets: $30;
Seniors and students: $15
Musicians: $15 (from Harpsichord Unlimited in advance)
