DESCRIPTION:Our annual New Music concert guarantees the excitement of new works and first performances. Four composers create pieces for Elaine Comparone & The Queen's Chamber Band. Donald Hagar will compose a duo for violist Veronica Salas and harpsichordist Elaine: Hanna Levy will add countertenor Marshall Coid to the mix with songs in Hebrew and English; William Foster McDaniel will compose a violin, 'cello and harpsichord trio; and,  David MacDonald promises to produce a piece for the whole instrumental group (flute, oboe, string quintet and harpsichord.) Selections from J.S. Bach's "The Art of Fugue" add another dimension to the program.
