The Queen's Chamber Band joins soloists and choir for a performance of Cantata 8; Brandenburg Concerto #5; Trio Sonata from The Musical Offering; and, Sonata for Viola & Obbligato Harpsichord in G minor.

Last season's wildly successful Bach festivities at First Moravian Church demand a return to this acoustically perfect site. The Queen's Chamber Band offers a program of favorites for inveterate Bachophiles. Soloists Philip Anderson, tenor, and Constantinos Yannoudes, baritone, sing featured arias in Bach's gorgeous Cantata 8 with instrumental obbligati played by flutist Karla Moe and oboist Marsha Heller. 0boist Heller and violinist Robert Zubrycki interpret the intricacies of the Musical Offering's Trio Sonata in C minor, accompanied by Peter Seidenberg, cello and Elaine Comparone, harpsichord. Veronica Salas, dynamic Chilean violist, performs the G minor Sonata for Viola da Gamba and Obbligato Harpsichord. Karla, Bob and Elaine join forces as the soloists in the greatest harpsichord concerto of all time, Brandenburg Concerto #5.
