The Queen's Chamber Band plays Bach at the First Moravian Church of New York City, located at the corner of Lexington Avenue and 30th Street.

The Queen's Chamber Band celebrates Bach's 324th birthday on March 21 at the First Moravian Church of New York City. Harpsichordist Elaine Comparone, conducting from the keyboard, leads The Queen's Chamber Band, The Queen's Chamber Singers (soprano Sharla Nafziger, countertenor Marshall Coid, tenor Philip Anderson and baritone Constantinos Yiannoudes) and the Chamber Choir of First Moravian Church in a performance of Cantata 78, "Jesu, der du meine Seele." The Band plays Bach's Double Concerto in C minor for Oboe & Violin (BWV 1060) with soloists Marsha Heller and Robert Zubryckki. Flutist Karla Moe, bassist Tomoya Aomori and harpsichordist Comparone join forces for the Trio Sonata in D minor (after BWV 527)---an arrangement of one of the organ trio sonatas. Cellist Peter Seidenberg and Elaine Comparone open the program with Bach's Sonata in G Major for Cello (originally viola da gamba) and Obbligato Harpsichord (BWV 1027). A Birthday Party/Reception for artists and audience follows the concert.
