Chilean violist VERONICA SALAS earned her undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees from the Juilliard School, where she studied with Lillian Fuchs. She has appeared as soloist with the Aspen Festival Orchestra, the Southern California Symphony and as duo soloist with Heifitz protégé Eric Friedman. She appeared as featured soloist with the Colonial Symphony on February 10, performing the Stamitz Viola Concerto. She also serves as principal violist of The Opera Orchestra of New York and performs and records with the American Composers Orchestra and the Brooklyn Philharmonic.
